CROMALITE® - Solar Control

CROMALITE® is the trade name of a product consisting of a laminated glass panel that incorporates an electro-optic film based on SPD technology (Suspended Particles Devices).  The core of this product is made of a multi-phase colloidal system embedded in a fully polymerised matrix, which can modulate the transmission of incident electromagnetic radiation in the full visible range up to and including part of the near infrared. The system is activated by an electric field capable of orienting the suspended particles inside the film. This allows us to efficiently control the transmitted solar radiation in both the visible and the solar range.
CROMALITE® is available in two versions: CROMALITE® Dark, which enables a level of attenuation of the visible radiation at less than 1% and CROMALITE® Light, which during the ON-state enables the attainment of higher values of visible radiation transmission (up to at least 50%).

This electro-optic film can also be incorporated into laminated glass panels with tinted glass plies as well as other interlayers coated with filtering systems depending on the purpose of the project (colouring effects or solar shielding).

 The CROMALITE® products are tested in accordance with the CENELEC European Standards.
