HOW WORKS

All ISOLITE® products contain a liquid crystal film named PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystals). An exclusive lamination process between two glass plies or plastic materials ensures the product quality and durability. The liquid crystals, in the absence of an electrical charge, show random oriented  olecules, enabling good light diffusion but fully preventing visibility at the same time. The result is a totally milky white or tinted glass, where light filters through, still allowing no visibility. A small electrical charge causes aligning of the liquid crystals molecules, thus enabling light transmission. The  ISOLITE® panel becomes transparent immediately providing similar visibility to that of a traditional glazing.

The ISOLITE® products are tested in accordance with the CENELEC European Standards.
